Accommodation

March 2009 - Coppicing.

All the structures have suffered badly this winter, including the kitchen. We do not have a compost loo at the moment, and all the facilities will be very basic. If you were hoping to camp, please contact us to discuss it first.

(''There are (usually) a number of temporary structures that we use for work weeks. There is a couple of benders, plus a well equipped field kitchen to prepare communal meals in. There is plenty of room to camp if you prefer to bring you own tent. The accommodation is basic so if the weather is bad make sure you bring plenty of bedding and warm clothes. We have plenty of wood for fires, and there might be a few spare blankets. If you really can’t manage such basic accommodation, contact us and we’ll see if we can come up with suitable alternative accommodation.'')

It would be helpful if you can bring some food with you, or give us a contribution for food if it is difficult to bring on public transport and we can get what is needed locally. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will try to accommodate it. Communal meals are usually vegetarian or vegan, but there are no fixed rules about this as there are vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters amongst the co-op members, so we just try to cook suitable food for whoever is there.

We hope it will be an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere during work weeks. There are several musicians among the co-op members, and music around the fire in the evenings is a possibility, so bring an instrument.

There may be opportunities for storytelling and other entertainments. There are also lovely beaches and estuary walks nearby.
